Keremeos RCMP are investigating two shots fired in separate incidents in the community on Feb. 16, 2018.

KEREMEOS - Keremeos RCMP hope the public can assist them in an investigation involving shots fired, one of which pierced a police cruiser.
On Friday, Feb. 16, at around 11 p.m., Keremeos RCMP were called to a report of shots fired at a residence located in the 800 block of 3 Avenue in Keremeos.
Officers found a single shot had been fired through the living room window. Several people in the residence at the time of the shooting all escaped injury.
During the investigation, a second bullet hole was discovered in a police car belonging to the Keremeos detachment. The car was parked at the Keremeos detachment at the time, and was unoccupied when the shot was fired.
Cpl. Brian Evans of the Keremeos detachment said in a press release police believe the incidents are related and are following all leads.
They are asking any members of the public that might have information on either or both incidents to call the Keremeos detachment at: 250-499-5511, or call anonymously through CrimeStoppers at: 1-800-222-8477.
