KELOWNA - Golfers who enjoy the Shadow Ridge Golf Club near Kelowna International Airport have at least five more years to book tee times as the city has signed a lease with a golf management company to run the place.

Monaghan Golf Group will take over operations November 1 from the current owner.

The City of Kelowna bought the golf course last January as part of anticipated long-term expansion of the airport.

Airport director Sam Samadar says in a press release the intent is to operate Shadow Ridge as long as feasible before developing the area as part of the airport’s long-range plan.

The 18-hole golf course occupies an 84-acre site on Bulman Road directly south of the airport.
