Former B.C. baseball volunteer pleads guilty to molesting children decades ago

.

SURREY, B.C. - A former minor baseball volunteer in Metro Vancouver has pleaded guilty to three counts of indecent assault for molesting children decades ago.

Sixty-three-year-old Jamieson Glendinning entered the pleas in provincial court earlier this week.

With the guilty pleas, Crown Prosecutor Winston Sayson says Glendinning has freed the victims from having to testify about what happened to them.

Glendinning was originally charged with indecent assault, gross indecency and sexual assault involving children dating back to 1985 when he was with the Tsawwassen Amateur Baseball Association.

He was supposed to appear in court last June to face the charges but disappeared and was later arrested in Sydney, Australia.

Glendinning will be sentenced in the spring. (News1130)
