A severe thunderstorm watch was issued this morning for much of the Southern Interior.
Storms may be capable of producing up t 20 mm of heavy rain per hour in the Okanagan, South Thompson, Nicola and Boundary, according to Environment Canada.
“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” according to the thunderstorm watch.
