Search for missing Vernon man narrows after his car found in Kelowna

KELOWNA - Police have narrowed their search for Jordan Mooney, a Vernon man who went missing in Kelowna, after discovering his car in McKinley Landing.

Mooney was last seen leaving a house in the Dilworth Mountain area of Kelowna late Sunday, May 27, RCMP medial relations officer Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a press release.

Kelowna RCMP air services have begun assisting the ground search for the 24-year-old Mooney begun by Central Okanagan Search and Rescue late Wednesday, May 30, the press release said.

Mooney is described as a Caucasian male, 5'10" tall, weighing 180 lbs. with short red hair, last seen wearing black pants and a white T-shirt.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mooney is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
