SUN PEAKS - It's been two days since anyone last saw 19-year-old Ryan Shtuka after he left a party on Burfield Drive in Sun Peaks and the search continues.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police are still searching for Shtuka, but Kamloops Search and Rescue has "exhausted all of the avenues" it has for searching so its efforts have been suspended.

Today, Feb. 19, Shelkie says the RCMP helicopter, along with the Police Dog Services, have been searching Sun Peaks. The dog unit will be searching over the next few days. Officers are also on scene in Sun Peaks coordinating search efforts by citizens and family.

So far, no one has come forward to say they saw Shtuka any time after 2:10 a.m. on Feb. 17, when he was last seen leaving a party on Burfield Drive.

He was reported missing after he missed his shift for work later that day, RCMP said over the weekend.

Shtuka was believed to have walked home to his residence after leaving the Burfield Drive party. He didn't attend work that day and has not been active on social media or cellular networks since he was last seen.

Shtuka was last seen wearing dark jeans, a grey and white shirt, a blue coat and a burgundy ball cap.

If you have any information on Shtuka's whereabouts, call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
