Sawyer Brown and Lonestar add Penticton date to Canadian tour

Iconic country music artists Sawyer Brown have added a stop in Penticton to their Canadian tour this winter.

Iconic country music artists Sawyer Brown and Lonestar will be joined by Canadian country superstars Doc Walker and George Canyon as special guests for a stop in Penticton this winter.

Sawyer Brown and Lonestar have added three Canadian dates to their tour including the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, according to a media release.

Sawyer Brown has been entertaining country music fans for four decades with hits like Step That Step, The Walk, Thank God for You, The Boys and Me, as well as the band’s anthem: Some Girls Do. The band has recorded 18 studio albums since 1981 with 50 songs hitting the charts including three number one hits.

Fans will be singing along to Lonestar’s classics like No News, Come Cryin' to Me, Amazed, Smile, What About Now, Tell Her, I'm Already There, My Front Porch Looking In and Mr. Mom.

Canada’s George Canyon rose to country music fame in the early 2000s and has recorded 12 albums including his certified Platinum Awards for his debut One Good Friend.

Doc Walker are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their huge hit Rocket Girl.

Tickets — which range from $37.50 to $97.50 plus service charges — for the Nov. 17 concert at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton go on sale Friday, June 24 at 10 a.m. You can buy them in person at the Valley First Box Office or online here.
