Upper Bench Winery and Creamery, nestled in the heart of Penticton, is a testament to the passion and dedication of Gavin and Shana Miller, a local couple deeply rooted in the craft of winemaking and cheese production. With a harmonious blend of traditional and modern techniques, they utilize both French oak barrels and stainless-steel tanks to cultivate wines that are as distinctive as they are delightful. In anticipation of expanding their culinary offerings, the Millers are set to unveil The Oven Restaurant on May 8, an adult-only dining experience championing high-quality ingredients and sustainable farming practices. The menu promises innovation, with cheese rounds baked in-house, enrobed in prosciutto, adorned with fruit, or sometimes enhanced with Nutella and cacao nibs for an indulgent take on double cream brie.

Designed to immerse guests in the beauty of their surroundings, the restaurant features an entirely outdoor, covered seating area equipped with misters for comfort during warmer days, allowing diners to bring home any unfinished wine. Furthermore, the anticipation builds for the next Club Shipment on June 17, offering members exclusive access to exceptional wines not available in stores. Open from 12-5 p.m. daily as of May 10, their tasting room will be welcoming guests until 6 p.m., Upper Bench presents a unique blend of culinary and viticultural excellence waiting to be discovered.

You can now take wine down to Naramata Beach. Try their Provencal style Rosé; dry, elegant and fruit forward. Pick up a pizza or cheese with baguettes, perfect for happy hour or dinner.
