PENTICTON - Match Eatery at Cascades Casino is going through its first renovation since opening their doors earlier this year.

The Santa Zone prep is well underway for this year’s Toys For Tots To Teens event coming this Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

With no shortage to keep little ones busy, gingerbread decorating, scrumptious pancake stations and hot chocolate are a sampling of what’s on the day’s menu of events.

The main attraction, Mr. Santa Clause himself, will be there to have a chat about who is in fact on the naughty or nice list this year. Festive music to enjoy your breakfast will be with students from Parkway School and Princess Margaret Secondary.

For those in a hurry and not able to stay, we have set up the Drive Thru Express Gift Drop Off. Our elves will be in front of the Cascades Casino to receive your gift and will have your Tim Hortons coffee ready for you.

If the afternoon gift drop is better for your schedule, Santa will be at Canadian Tire toy drop from 2:00 – 6:00 pm to receive your donation along with the Penticton Fire Department and local volunteers.  IGA will have their community BBQ fired up and Tim Hortons will have that afternoon java ready for you.

“This year’s event has really come together so organically,’ said Kelly Hopkins of Spark Media, event organizer. “The amount of people that have contacted us to volunteer has been overwhelming, the business community and local service groups have really stepped up to show their support for the children and teens of our community.”

The community is asked to bring new, unwrapped gifts for children ages 1-17, cash donations and gift cards will also be collected.
