SALMON ARM – A 62-year-old local man was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Salmon Arm last weekend.
The RCMP are still investigating the cause of the crash which happened on a straight stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway on Saturday Nov. 4 around noon.
A media release from RCMP says the collision involved a loaded northbound commercial vehicle and a southbound Toyota pickup.
“The 62-year-old male driver of the Toyota from Salmon Arm had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the semi truck from Kamloops was not injured,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in the release.
The identity of the driver has not been released.
