KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a 7-Eleven convenience store early this morning.

Kamloops RCMP received a call at around 2:30 a.m. today, Jan. 8, that the 7-Eleven in Sahali had been robbed, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say the man demanded money from the clerk and took cash from the register as well as multiple cartons of Pall Mall cigarettes.

The man then fled the scene by getting into the passenger seat of a dark-coloured Honda Civic and that drove southbound on Summit Drive.

Police say the suspect did not produce a weapon and the two clerks who were working at the time of the robbery were not harmed.

The suspect is described as 5’10” tall with brown eyes. He was wearing a dark gray zip-up hoodie with the Boston Celtics logo on the front, a black balaclava, and white and black bike gloves.

Anyone with information on the suspect or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
