Famous Deadpool actor Ryan Reynold’s urging to “make me pay” to support the Great Bear Rainforest is clearly working, as the campaign he started Canada Day reached its fundraising goal in a week.

Reynolds originally was going to match $50,000 in donations to non-profit Pacific Wild, which focuses on the preservation of the Great Bear Rainforest, but since that goal was reached yesterday, July 7, he has now raised the bid to $100,000.

"This is to ensure the rainforest I grew up with as a kid will still be there," Reynolds said in the video. "If you hated one of my movies, this is your opportunity for revenge, make me pay for it."

“Thanks to all of our amazing supporters for stepping up to the plate to #MakeRyanPay. We couldn’t do the work we do without the generosity of wildlife lovers like you,” according to a statement on the non-profit’s website.

An anonymous donor has also pledged to match additional donations up to $25,000, the statement continues.

Reynolds has also narrated for the Great Bear Rainforest IMAX film.

The campaign continues until Aug. 3, B.C. Day. To donate visit Pacific Wild's website.
