KAMLOOPS - Some people were taken to hospital this morning after a motor vehicle crash at the Kamloops Wal-Mart entrance.
Today, Sept. 2, at 11:16 a.m. emergency services responded to a three vehicle collision on Hillside Drive north of Notre Dame Drive a media release says.
Initial information from witnesses, reported an older motor home was travelling down Hillside Drive when its brakes failed. It was unable to stop and went through two intersections, striking two smaller vehicles, causing one vehicle to flip on it's side.
Some of the vehicle occupants sustained injuries and they have been taken to a local medical facility for treatment.
The investigation into mechanical condition of the RV is ongoing.
BC Emergency Health Service says two ambulances took people to hospital in stable condition, though that does not necessarily mean only two people were transported.
"If the patients are in stable condition sometimes [the ambulance] will double-up," Fatima Siddiqui from health services says in a phone interview.
