VERNON - The holiday road check season is beginning, and police will be out checking on local drivers into the new year.
North Okanagan and Vernon RCMP will be stepping up patrols from now until 2017 according to a police press release.
Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy says police could be anywhere, so watch out.
“If you want to keep the season festive and bright, make sure you keep everyone safe, and obey the rules of the road,” she says in the release.
