Canada drops one spot to No. 21 in World Rugby rankings after loss in Brazil

TORONTO - Canada fell one spot to No. 21 in the world rugby rankings in the wake of its 18-10 loss in Brazil on Saturday.

The win, at the Americas Rugby Championship, moved the South Americans up two places to No. 26. Brazil is just one-hundredth of a point below No. 25 Hong Kong.

Spain, which upset Russia 16-14 in the opening round of the Rugby Europe Championship, replaced Canada at No. 20. Russia remained at No. 19.

The top 10 was unchanged with New Zealand topping the table ahead of Ireland, England, Wales, South Africa, Australia, Scotland, Fiji, Argentina and France.

The U.S. fell one place to No. 13 after losing 45-14 to an Argentine reserve side at the ARC. Georgia took its spot at No. 12.
