Canadian men drawn with France, Argentina and Portugal at Hong Kong Sevens

Canada has been drawn with France, Argentina and invitational side Portugal at the men's Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens next month.

The Canadian men stand 12th overall after six stops on the 10-event World Rugby Sevens Series. Argentina is eighth and France, runner-up in Vancouver earlier this month, is 10th.

Pool A features Vancouver champion South Africa, Las Vegas runner-up Samoa, Scotland and Japan. Pool C is made up of No. 2 Fiji and No. 3 New Zealand alongside Australia and Kenya. Pool D consists of the top-ranked Americans with England, Wales and Spain.

Twelve men’s and women’s teams will also compete in Hong Kong in the World Rugby Sevens Series Qualifier with core status up for grabs.

The tournament runs April 4-7.
