KEIGHLEY, United Kingdom - The Toronto Wolfpack continued their impressive debut rugby league season with a 48-21 win over the Keighley Cougars in Kingstone Press League 1 action on Sunday.
The Wolfpack improved to 5-0 in competitive matches this year, including three wins in the third division of English rugby league and two victories in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.
Johnny Pownall led the way with three tries for Toronto, which trailed 9-8 at halftime before a dominant second half. Adam Sidlow added two tries and Liam Kay, Blake Wallace, Craig Hall and Bob Beswick had one apiece. Craig Hall kicked six conversions.
Josh Lynam had two tries for Keighley while and Matty Beharrell had a try and four goals.
Toronto's next game is April 9 against Doncaster RLFC.
The Wolfpack, the first transatlantic rugby league team, play their first five league matches on the road in England before opening at home May 6.
