A poor dog had to lose the last of her vision after being surrendered to a pet rescue in Kelowna, and her caretakers are hoping to raise enough money for the surgery.

Zevia arrived at Paws it Forward Dog Rescue with just one eye, and after a checkup with vets from Fairfield Animal Hospital in Kelowna, they determined that her other eye also needs to be removed because of glaucoma.

“As usual, they took the best care of her and she is now settling in with her new foster home,” reads a Instagram post from Paws It Forward.

"We are raising funds to help pay for Zevia's surgery and aftercare, please consider donating and share this post, every dollar helps!"

Anybody wanting to support the blind dog can fill out a donation form on Paws It Forward’s website.

The animal rescue will continue to share updates about Zevia on their social media.
