A report of a stabbing in downtown Kamloops last night turned out to be a fight between two people who ended up in RCMP cells to sober up.
Multiple RCMP officers responded to Lorne Street and 1 Avenue around 5 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 16, after a report a person was stabbed, according to Kamloops RCMP.
When they arrived they located the two people who were involved in a fight, but neither had stab wounds.
The alleged victim wasn't injured and police didn't find a knife, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn said in an email to iNFOnews.ca.
Two people were arrested and they were held in custody to sober up, she said. No word if any charges will be laid.
