With a new school year around the corner, UBC Okanagan will soon see a record number of students on its campus.

Student move-in is scheduled for Sept. 4 and this year will see more than 1,000 new and returning students to university accommodations.

Thousands of new-to-UBCO students will also be attending classes this fall. The university will see the largest class of new students to date, according to a press release from the university.

Students will start their move-in day by participating in campus tours, attending peer-to-peer presentations and group activities and learning about resources, clubs and engagement opportunities available to them.

After a welcome ceremony in the gymnasium, students will conclude the day by attending Showcase, which begins at 3 p.m.

Showcase provides the opportunity for Kelowna businesses, not-for-profit agencies, on-campus student associations and campus partners to promote and share their services available to students, according to the press release.
