PENTICTON - Investigators don't yet know what caused a crash between a marked police vehicle and a pickup truck in Penticton yesterday afternoon.

The collision happened at the intersection of Main Street and Warren Avenue at about 4 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 27, Cpl. Ted Manchulenko says in a media release.

Manchulenko says following the impact with the pickup, the police vehicle crashed into a second vehicle.

"Although there was substantial damage to the police vehicle and the pickup truck, neither the officer nor the occupants of the two other vehicles suffered injuries which required immediate medical attention at the time of the collision," he says in the release.

The Pentiction RCMP Traffic Unit is investigating the cause of the crash.

RCMP are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has information and haven't yet spoken to police, to contact Cpl. Ted Manchulenko of the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
