RCMP have reopened a section of the Okanagan Rail Trail in Kelowna following a police incident yesterday but remain tight-lipped about what is being investigated.

Officers were on the scene of the police incident on the rail trail between Leathead Road and Dilworth Drive in Kelowna for most of the day yesterday, Feb. 8.

RCMP said yesterday there was no risk to the public but no details about the incident have been released.

Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Const. Mike Della-Paolera said today that police are in the middle of the investigation and will not be releasing any information to the public today.

“There will be no further releases until we’ve tidied everything up and we’re still working on a few things,” he said.

Della-Paolera said police might provide an update tomorrow after clearing "some things" with the court.
