Mounties in the Central Okanagan teamed up to recover more than $200,000 in stolen property, cash, weapons and lots of drugs.

The RCMP in West Kelowna, Kelowna and the Southeast District Emergency Response Team rolled into two West Kelowna properties March 22 with search warrants, according to a news release today, May 1.

They say arrested two people and found a horde of ill-gotten goods, including:

  • Several hundred pills and bottles of prescription medication;
  • 3.3 kilograms of suspected Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine;
  • $16,500 in Canadian Currency;
  • Several prohibited weapons;
  • Stolen property including a Dodge Ram, dirt-bikes, a utility vehicle, kitchen appliances, high-end tools and equipment along with other items with a total value in excess of $200,000;
  • two additional vehicles as offence related property.

The suspects were released without charges while police continue to investigate.

The release comes several weeks after the action, despite calling it "the culmination of a lengthy investigation in relation to property crime and drug trafficking in the Central Okanagan area." Police did not disclose where the properties are including even the neighbourhood. They included no photos of the allegedly stolen items.
