Mounties are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a West Kelowna man.

Glen Tarbet, 49, was last seen leaving his West Kelowna home at 5 a.m. on July 17 in his 2018 black Ford Explorer with British Columbia licence plate FP964W.

“Police are deeply concerned for Mr. Tarbet’s well-being and he may be in possession of firearms,” Corporal Meghan Foster of the West Kelowna RCMP said in a press release. “Should anyone see this vehicle, or Mr. Tarbet, please do not approach him and immediately contact 9-1-1.”

Tarbet is white and has brown hair and brown eyes. He's five-foot-nine and weighs 200 pounds.  He was last seen wearing shorts and a t-shirt, possibly workout attire (colour not known)

The investigation to date has revealed the last known whereabouts of  Tarbet’s 2018 black Ford Explorer to be in the area of Bear Creek.  While there are many forest service roads in the area, heavy police canvassing has not resulted in locating the vehicle or Tarbet.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Tarbet is urged to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
