RCMP arrest three on Martin Street for heroin and cocaine possession on Thursday.

PENTICTON - Martin Street was hot with police action on Thursday with several arrests made for heroin and cocaine possession.

Two Penticton men, Wesley James Yungen, 41 and Bradley Scott Thompson, 40, were arrested and charged with trafficking and possession of heroin. An unidentified woman, 62, was arrested and released. She might face a charge of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Thompson, who has a long criminal record, was found in a vehicle on Martin Street and was arrested. He already faces six warrants out of Grande Prairie, AB and was put into custody. He is expected back at court on Dec. 4.

He was charged with trafficking in heroin, resisting arrest and escaping lawful custody. He is incarcerated until his next Penticton court appearance on Nov. 20.
