Kamloops RCMP believe a spree of break-ins early yesterday morning were all related.

Officers with the Tk'emlups rural detachement responded to three separate break-ins on May 2 in Kamloops, Savona and Skeetchetsn, where suspects were wearing high-visibility vests or jackets, according to an RCMP news release.

The first was around 2:20 a.m. in Savona, where a business had its storage unit broken into.

The business is in the 7100 block of the Trans-Canada Highway and surveillance footage captured a man in a high-visibility vest breaking into a storage unit.

Police said "items" were stolen, but didn't say what was taken in the process.

There was another break-in at another business around 3:30 a.m. in the 6900 block of the Trans-Canada Highway west of Kamloops.

RCMP said the suspects left with stolen items, including cigarettes. Two men were seen wearing high visibility jackets or vests. Their hoods were up and they had masks over their faces. One suspect had a Hurley logo visible on his pant leg.

Police were called several hours later to help CN Police with an overnight break-in at one of the rail company's buildings.

"What was taken from that location is still under investigation," the news release reads.

“We are releasing images captured at two of the locations in hopes that someone recognizes, or had recent dealings with anyone they think could be one of the suspects,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release. “Maybe you work at a business, even one out of town, and have surveillance video that captured people who could be these suspects – you never know what could help further the investigation.”

Anyone who has information related to these investigations, or who can help identify a suspect, can contact the Tk’emlúps RCMP rural detachment at 250-314-1800.
