The Penticton RCMP is reaching out to the public to help locate a missing 89-year-old woman.
Doreen Abbott was expected to to arrive at a friend’s house last night, Jan. 27, but never arrived, according to an RCMP media release. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
She is reported to suffer from an onset of dementia. She is not known to deviate from her routines, “thus making this absence worrisome,” RCMP said.
Abbott was driving a green 1993 Subaru Legacy with B.C. license plate MXH063.

She is described as a thin 89 year old, 5’3", 120 lb. with thin white and grey hair. She wears glasses and walks with a cane. It’s not known what clothing she was wearing.
"If you are seeing this Doreen, please contact us right away,” Const. Dayne Lyons said in the release.
“We hope that members of the community will keep an eye out for Doreen or contact us if you know where she may be.”
