An Alberta woman is behind bars after she was caught driving a stolen vehicle in the North Okanagan.
The driver of a black Toyota Yaris involved in a crash in Sicamous didn’t stop for police in Revelstoke at around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, and they were last seen heading toward Enderby on Highway 97A, according to an RCMP media release.
Police call in the RCMP helicopter which tracked the stolen car from the air.
The Toyota was being driven dangerously all the way to Vernon where police intercepted it and arrested the driver and lone occupant.
Brittany Lalonde, 38, of Alberta has been charged with possession of stolen property and dangerous driving.
She remains in custody awaiting her next scheduled court appearance tomorrow, Sept. 8.
