SUMMERLAND – Police have arrested a man who was trying to get into a home and was casing out backyards in Summerland.
RCMP say the suspect tried to enter a home on Johnson Road. He said he was looking for directions and after getting them, he tried to enter the house through the front and side doors.
Police were called, took down his vehicle description and plate number and started patrols. They tracked down the suspect after they received a call of a man walking through backyards.
He was arrested on Ward Street without incident. The suspect is in police custody with charges pending. The incident is still under investigation.
