RCMP say the shooting death of a 51-year-old man whose body was found in Princeton was targeted.

Police say there is no risk to the public after Donald (Donnie) Bryce Lyons was found unresponsive in the driveway of a home on Princeton Summerland Road in Princeton.

Lyons was a longtime member of the Independent Soldiers gang, according to a Vancouver Sun report.

Court documents indicate a long criminal history including drug trafficking.

Investigators are looking for help from the public, according to an RCMP media release issued today, June 20.

Anyone who was travelling along Princeton Summerland Road between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on June 15, and has dash camera footage or observed anything suspicious, is asked to call the Southeast District Major Crime Unit’s tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
