RCMP, B.C. Coroners Service identify couple found dead inside Shuswap home

Two individuals found dead inside a Shuswap home early last week have been identified by the B.C. RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit and the B.C. Coroners Service.

Chase RCMP received a report on Nov. 5 after a man and woman were found dead inside a home in the 2200 block of Fraser Road in the rural community of Anglemont, approximately 100 kilometres east of Kamloops.

In a news release issued today, Nov. 12, RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says the victims have been identified as a 62-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman that were known to each other.

“Furthermore, I can confirm that RCMP continue to believe that this tragic incident was an isolated event. No suspects are being sought at this time, nor is there any danger to the public,” O’Donaghey says.

No other information is being released by police at this time, the release says.
