The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP detachment is asking for the public's help to locate a missing 73-year-old man.

Wayne Orser was last seen at 12 p.m. on June 30 in his home in North Westside, according to the RCMP in a news release. Police believe Orser went paddle boarding on Okanagan Lake as his paddle board was found in the reeds at the north end of the lake.

Orser is described as a Caucasian man, is five-foot-eight, weighs 130 pounds with grey hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and grey sweatpants, according to the news release.

Vernon Search and Rescue crews were also deployed and didn't find him around the shoreline, according to the release.

If anyone has seen Orser, contact the Armstrong RCMP at 250-546-3028, remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or leave a tip online.
