RCMP are asking for the public's assistance to find a young, high risk First Nations woman who travelled to Kamloops from the south Cariboo.

Hayleigh Archie, 18, was reported missing from her home in the Lone Butte, in the 100 Mile House area, yesterday, March 5, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say Archie has reduced capabilities.

“She would appear to have a 12-year-old’s mentality to someone unknown to her, and she is considered high risk for continuing drug use and exploitation by others due to her addictions," the RCMP release reads.

She was travelling with a woman from 100 Mile House to Kamloops and was dropped off near McDonald's on Fortune Drive, but a subsequent search of the area failed to find Archie, RCMP said. Her family in Kamloops has been notified.

She is known to hitchhike to the Vancouver area.

RCMP describe Archie as an Indigenous woman, 5'5" tall and heavy-set. She was wearing black clothing and is often seen carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information regarding the her whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest RCMP detachment or contact 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456.
