Rainy long weekend expected in Kamloops

Cloud cover will continue over Kamloops this May long weekend

KAMLOOPS - We can expect cooler and wetter days this long weekend, with temperatures expected to remain in the teens most days and at least a chance of rain every day.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 19 Celsius today, May 20, several degrees below the seasonal normal high temperature of 22 C. Saturday and Sunday the mercury is expected to hit 17 C before finally warming up close to normal highs on Monday.

While daytime temperatures are expected to be below normal, overnight lows are expected to stay above the seasonal normal of 9 C, with lows of just 11 C to 13 C expected this weekend.

Along with the cooler temperatures during the day is mainly cloud cover and at least a chance of rain every day. The chance of showers varies from 40 to 60 per cent today, Saturday and Monday, with rain expected to fall throughout the day Sunday.
