Rain finally in the forecast for Kamloops this weekend

Another smokey day in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS -The smoke and heat seem endless in the Tournament Capital, but lower temperatures and rain are finally in the forecast this weekend.

It is anticipated that rain will come on Sunday with temperatures in the mid-20s. Environment Canada predicts Sunday will be cloudy with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the day and highs of 25 Celsius. That evening, however, the weather office predicts showers and a nighttime low of 13 C.

Until Sunday, however, plan on temperatures to remain above 30 C and Environment Canada is anticipating the smoke to continue.

Today, Aug. 10, the UV Index is 7, it is sunny and temperatures are likely to reach 32 C. Friday's forecast is similar, as temperatures are predicted to reach 32 C and wide spread smoke is likely to continue.

The forecast begins to change on Saturday. During the day it will be hot and sunny as temperatures are predicted to reach 31 C. In the evening, however, cloudy periods are expected.

Rain and clouds are predicted on Sunday, however, the clouds are anticipated to remain into next week.
