Filly Irish Mission installed as early 5-2 favourite for Prince of Wales Stakes

FORT ERIE, Ont. - Filly Irish Mission is the early 5-2 favourite for the $500,000 Prince of Wales Stakes.

Irish Mission drew the No. 6 post in the nine-horse field at the draw for Sunday's race at Fort Erie Racetrack.

Irish Mission finished second to Strait of Dover in last month's Queen's Plate at Woodbine Ractrack, but Strait of Dover will be skipping the second jewel of Canadian thoroughbred racing's Triple Crown.

Dixie Strike, a filly that was third in the Queen's Plate, is the 3-1 early second choice and will break from the No. 4 post.
