French program Sympatico turned its lens to the Okanagan Valley with a video featuring Quebec actress Karine Vanasse as a part of their Explore Canada series.

Internationally, Vanasse is known for her roles as Colette Valois in Pan Am, Margaux LeMarchal in Revenge, and Lise Delorme in Cardinal.

Vanasse experienced the valley for the first time in her life, both on foot with a hike at Knox Mountain with Okanagan fitness guru Melanie Morrissette, and by air in a picturesque helicopter ride.

Gazing out over the Okanagan, Vanasse remarked on all the lakes, and was struck by how many vineyards covered the landscape.

Following her tour, Vanasse rejoined Morissette at Sparkling Hill Resort and Spa for a Cryo Cold Chamber treatment. The two donned bathing suits, protective head bands, face masks and gloves to enter the -110°C room for three minutes.

Emerging from the cold, Vanasse remarked that although she knew that the treatment was beneficial for the body, she was very happy to snuggle into a warm robe.

Venasse described the Okanagan as vast, beautiful and peaceful, remarking that following her trip she felt a renewed sense of calm.
