QUEBEC - Subsidized home daycare workers in Quebec are out on a one-day strike today, an action they say affects more than 90,000 children in the province.
The union representing the home daycare workers says the job action is to protest lagging contract talks with the provincial government.
The workers want better pay and working conditions.
They argue they often work much longer hours than employees in government-run daycare centres.
Nearly 15,000 home daycare workers walked out in the protest.
