Province seeks public input on trails strategy

The public can weigh in on the province's trail strategy by filling out an online questionaire between now and Feb. 28, 2020.

Trail enthusiasts have an opportunity to help shape the future of the province's trails strategy between now and the end of February.

The province of British Columbia is seeking public input as a review of the Trails Strategy of B.C. continues.

An opportunity to provide feedback regarding trail development and use in the province is available through the completion of an online questionnaire.

The survey should take between 15 minutes and a half hour to complete, according to a media release. Responses will be used to create recommendations for inclusion in updating the Trails Strategy for British Columbia and will be summarized into a “What We Heard” report.

B.C.’s trails are managed through service contracts and partnership agreements with a range of groups and both public and private sector organizations, with individual or groups of volunteers also providing time and services.

The strategy’s goal is to develop a sustainable network of trails throughout the province.
