Province changes date for open house on Stickle Road intersection improvements plan

Project manager Rampaul Dulay speaks about proposed safety upgrades to the Stickle Road intersection on Highway 97 at an open house held on, Thursday, April 30, 2015. The Ministry of Transportation has changed the date of the latest open house to Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

VERNON - There’s a new date for an upcoming open house on proposed changes to the Stickle Road intersection in Vernon.

Ministry of Transportation staff will present their second plan for the intersection at Highway 97 after the first was scrapped back in May.

The open house was originally set for July 30, right before the long weekend, but the province has now rescheduled it for Wednesday, July 29 to encourage more attendence.

Along with showing the new design for the intersection, ministry staff will get feedback from the public at the open house. It will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Prestige Hotel on 32 Street in Vernon.

The proposal can be viewed here. Comments emailed to Eng@vernon.ca will be forwarded to the ministry.
