A Northern B.C. resident shared the Lotto 6/49 jackpot win of $11 million last night, Oct. 6.

The $11 million prize will be evenly split between two winners, each receiving $5,790,419.90, B.C. Lottery Corporation said in a release today.

The Prince Rupert resident’s ticket, and a ticket purchased in Ontario, exactly matched all winning numbers in last night's lotto draw.

The winning numbers were: 7,18,19,38,42 and 46.

The names of the jackpot winners and exact location that the winning ticket was purchased will be released once the winners claim their prize. Lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize.

Another winning B.C. lottery ticket was purchased on PlayNow.com which won the $1-million guaranteed prize draw last night.

So far in 2021, B.C. lottery players have redeemed more than $67.5 million in winnings from Lotto 6/49.

The odds of winning a Lotto 6/49 jackpot are exceedingly rare at 1 in 13,983,816.
