After a slow but fairly steady decline since August, the price of a litre of gasoline jumped about 10 cents in Kamloops and the Okanagan this week.
At the end of August, prices were in the $1.70.9 to $175.9 range in the region, falling to less than $1.50 per litre in January.
That changed earlier this week when the price in Vernon jumped to $1.59.9 from $1.43.9, an increase of 16 cents.
Overnight, Kamloops prices went up by 10 cents per litre to $1.59.9 at most stations today, Feb. 9. Some were as high as $1.62.9, according to GasBuddy.com. Costco was at $1.46.9.

Kelowna had higher prices than most cities in recent weeks, hitting $1.53.9 on Jan. 22, a 10 cent per litre jump at that time. It’s at $1.63.9 in most stations today. Costco is listed at $1.49.9.
Penticton’s prices went to $1.63.9 today as well, from $1.48.9 earlier in the week.
Prices in Vancouver range from $1.65.9 to $1.70.9 while the always more affordable price in Calgary is $1.36.9.
