Many residents woke up without power in Penticton this morning, where the temperature is -6 Celsius this morning.
A dispatcher with the city’s after-hours call centre said power has been restored in half of the affected area this morning, Nov. 10, and crews are hoping to have the rest of the power back on by 8:30 a.m. No word on how many customers were impacted.
The dispatcher was unsure of the cause, but said it was “pretty widespread.”
“We’re trying to get updates but the crews have quite a big job on their hands,” they said.
