Portion of Highway 33 closed while Mounties investigate

Mounties have shut down a portion of Highway 33 as they conduct an investigation that they've yet to disclose details about.

Motorists are asked to avoid Highway 33, just north of the Trapping Creek Forest Service Road, as it is currently closed as part of an ongoing police investigation.

"It is unknown at this time how long this closure will last, but RCMP is asking the public to avoid the area is possible," RCMP said in the release.

Details regarding the nature of this investigation will be released at a later time.
