Popular Kangaroo Creek Farm in Kelowna open for spring break

Kelowna's kangaroo farm is set to open this Saturday.

The well-loved Kangaroo Creek Farm will be open for every day during spring break with the doors opening, March 19.

The popular petting zoo is home to a variety of kangaroos and wallaby's along with a host of other animals.

After spring break, the Kangaroo farm will be open each weekend throughout April as well as the Easter long weekend.

Visitors to the kangaroo farm can get up close to the animals and pet and feed them. Along with the largest of the kangaroo species, the red kangaroo, and the smallest of the wallaby species the dama wallaby, the farm as parrots and peacocks, and the largest rodent in the world, the capybara.

Anyone heading to the farm is reminded that construction work is taking place at the north end of Old Vernon Road, so the farm can only be accessed from the south at the junction of Sexsmith Road and Highway 97.
