POLL: Would you break the window of a hot car to save a dog in distress?

The two dogs were spotted locked in a hot car at 10:50 a.m. July 27 at the Canadian Tire in Kamloops.

You arrive at the store and see dogs in a vehicle in 35 C heat and no sign of the owner.

The dogs are panting. You try calling local bylaw, the SPCA and the local RCMP just to learn — no one is coming, but they'll advise you that if you break the window, you could be charged with vandalism. Plus, you risk confrontation with the owner once they emerge from the store. 

That's essentially what happened in Kamloops on Monday. Although it never came to a point of breaking the window, many people have said they would.
