This isn't the new normal we were expecting.

It seemed in B.C. we were starting to open up, but a spike in new cases, setting a new record high over the past week, has changed everything. B.C. is dealing with two new strains of COVID-19 that are spreading fast and yesterday, March 29, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry chose a "circuit breaker" go reduce cases and lighten the load on hospitals. The issue now is more younger people are getting the virus and being hospitalized.

While those spikes are largely in the Lower Mainland, Henry has long been skeptical of the usefulness of regionalized orders, so we're all required to follow new protocols: No more indoor dining — patios and takeout only; indoor gyms and health clubs can't operate, church services remain closed and students in Grade 4 and up will have to wear masks to school, among other orders.
