Oliver RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect of a recent break in to the Oliver Canadian Tire store after several firearms were stolen June 13.

The theft occurred around 3:30 a.m. when a man broke the glass front door to the store. He was then able to enter a locked firearms cabinet where he removed four weapons, along with ammunition.

He fled out the same door to a parked car where another man was waiting.

The crime was captured on video surveillance and police hope the public may be able to assist in identifying the suspects.

The man took a Mossberg Patriot Night Train 300 bolt action, a Mossberg Maverick hinge action shotgun, a Ruger 10-22, .22 rifle, and a Savage Model Rascal Target .22 bolt action rifle.

Oliver RCMP are asking anyone with information on this incident to call them at 250-498-3422, or call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
