Police investigating the suspicious death of a West Kelowna woman are looking for witnesses who knew her.

Mounties want to talk to anyone who dealt with 57-year-old Cindy Walsh or may have dealt with her in the month of April.

She was found dead May 3 by West Kelowna RCMP seeking to do a wellness check. As a suspicious death, it was handed over to the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.

“Even something seemingly minor could assist investigators in determining what led to her death," said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart.

In a rare move, Southeast District Major Crimes not only released the identity of the victim but also her photo, suggesting they have little information at all.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Southeast District Major Crime Unit Information Line at 1-877-987-8477.
