KELOWNA - Kelowna RCMP are on the lookout for a stolen sedan after it was used as a getaway vehicle for an alleged stabbing attack in Kelowna on Friday night.

According to a press release, police received a call at around 9:13 p.m. on June 14 about a stabbing in the 1000 block of Wilson Avenue. Emergency crews found bystanders giving first aid to a victim bleeding from an apparent stab wound.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now searching for two male suspects, both of whom were described as wearing short and t-shirts. One of the suspects is described as Asian, heavyset, and balding. They're connected with a stolen 2013 four-door sedan Dodge Dart with the B.C. license plate GX309E.

“RCMP have reason to believe this was an isolated event, and not a random attack,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey in the release.

Anyone with information on the suspects can contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-847

— This story was updated at 1:11 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 to correct the licence plate provided by RCMP.
